When I started photographing Frieda with the other dogs, she would always be off by herself, far from Rose especially. Lenore was the first dog to sit next to her.
In the last few weeks, they are becoming a pack, and she lies down with the other dogs as Izzy, as usual, goes into his odd herding crouch. Maria and I now refer to all of these dogs as our dogs.
This was just after Frieda took off into the woods after a chipmunk. Then she was Maria’s dog. Frieda is irrepressible. We are working on it.
Izzy lives in a world all of his own. He visited an Adult Residential Community today, and was stellar.
