Rumsfeld, a gentle ram who once butted me, and then suffered Rose hanging off of his butt until he ran into the pole barn and hid. He is mellow these days and loves to come up and sniff me.
November 9, 2008 – Good friends are difficult to come by, I think, hard to keep, and extraordinarily valuable. Good friends tell you the truth. They are loyal. They want you to be happy, and support you in your life. They are positive, without being sappy. They are sympathetic, without taking over your problems. They grasp your moods, understand your needs.
I have made few good friends in my life, and lost many friends to time, distraction, or lack of work. I make it a point not to lose friends if I can possibly help it. They are among the most important things in my life. I never stop working at being a friend, or give up on making friends.
Friendship is hard work, and requires honesty and communication.
