October 20, 2008 – Coldest day so far, frost everywhere, ice forming on the feeders. Time for the de-icers. There’s a leak in the main waterer, of course. Minnie is always waiting for me in the big bar, eager for a hug.  I am very fond of this wild creature. Last night the coyotes were close, howling right nearby, keeping me up. I worry about Minnie.
