Honey the goat almost seemed happy to see me

  October 17, 2008 – Back for a couple of days. Two appearances coming up, at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls, N.Y. for the Chronicle Book Fair, and Monday evening at the Halfmoon Public Library in Clifton Park, N.Y. Then Barre, Vt. Tuesday for a cable talk show interview at the Barre Opera House, open to the public, and then just some interviews before heading to Texas, to San Antonio and Austin. Then I finish work on Soul of A Dog, and ponder my next work.
   I am glad to be back on the farm, humbled at the reach of this blog and the nice reception to Izzy & Lenore. I was in NJ last night for a great evening to benefit the St. Barnabas Hospice program, where Izzy was quite the star. I appreciate all the encouragement and good words. I will try to live up to them. On November 15, Izzy and Lenore and I will be going a benefit in Greenwich, N.Y. for the Washington County Hospice and Palliative Care Program (details to come), my home hospice group. I’ll be prowling around this weekend taking photos.
