–you’ve been kissed by Elvis.
March 31, 2008 – As part of my morning rounds, I go out to the back to check on the cows. If he’s nearby, Elvis comes over to give me a kiss. I try hard to duck, because until you’ve been kissed by Elvis, you do not know what a kiss is. Today, I didn’t duck quick enough. I am still wiping off the camera lens. Today is Shearing Day. Fred DePaul arrives at 1 p.m. I’ll be putting pictures up throughout the afternoon, more or less in real time. Fred is a great person, and Shearing Day is long and very physical, but one of my favorite days of the year.
