March 27, 2008 – I’ve had Izzy for two years, and he is perhaps the most remarkable animal I have known. His personality and dimension continue to unfold, and to surprise me. I’ve written about his book tour and Hospice work – we are getting to be indistinguishable from one another, except he is better looking – but he is also as playful as a pup, a new streak that has only recently emerged. When alone, he loves to chase balls. He has a great deal of zeal, for whatever he does, as long as I am doing it with him.
  When with Rose, he likes to herd in big sweeping runs. He has a blast at this odd activity, and I got a photo of it this morning.
