January 20, 2008 – Elvis is on the mend. Swelling is done, aided by a box of Dunkin Donuts (chocolate glazed) he scarfed down, and a warm heat wrap he didn’t let me put on. If you judge by appetite, he is fine. I am relieved. Bitter cold today, and I am going to the Adirondacks to see Glen with Izzy and also hoping to do more work on the Getting Better All the Time series. Also hoping to take some night photos. Already too  much. Ken Norman the farrier is coming this morning to do the donkeys hooves. The rascals broke into the barn over the weekend and raided the chicken feed, the corn barrels, and the grain storage. They must be about to explode. The devils.
