January 4, 2007 – In this kind of cold, matter is altered. Pipes freeze, lines clog, the animals become nearly immobile. I walk the dogs, but briefly, take pictures, write. Today I go to Bennington to see Dr. Gorson, the diabetes doc, to see how I am doing. Hopefully, I will continue to stay off of medicines by weight loss and proper diet. Talk about change in lifestyle. But diabetes was good for me, I needed it to get focused about my health, and I am. Hope to get some writing done, and it is supposed to get warmer. Getting more round bales of hay delivered this weekend for the cows, and hope to see a movie.
