December 27, 2007 – Clearing, cold. Visited Maria in the Studio Barn. This bird seems to like me, and doesn’t take off when I show up with the camera. He doesn’t even mind the dogs, although I fear Mother the barn cat will pick him off. Since we seem to have something of a relationship, I’ve decided to give him a name – Rupert. I hope he’s friendly, and not just sick. Annie will know. I am eager to see if I can tell him apart from the other birds.
