Got up at 5 a.m. Brought Elvis a jelly donut, then fed the barn cats and gave oat cookies to the donkeys. Left Emma and Izzy in the front yard. Rose and I got the sheep from the lower pasture, and then walked them across the road and up the hill to a meadow in the woods on the other side of Patterson Ridge. I am not sure whose property we are on, or that it matters up here in the woods, but I sat with my coffee and a piece of bread and Rose and I watched the sheep graze out in the woods as the sun came up. We grazed for two hours, then walked back down the hill. She sheep were tired, drank water and lay down under the new shade feeder. I came in the house to work. Legs are sore.
